Particle "Ha/Wa" (は)


The particle Ha/Wa (は) Indicates that the noun before it (N1) is the topic of the sentence.

1. To show subjek of the sentence. 

  • 私(わたし) Fikriーです. 
  • i am fikri
on the sentence, subject is "watashi" or "me". 
  • バリ は 綺麗 (きれい)な町( まち) です.
  • Bali is beautiful city.
on the sentence 2, tell us about the topic sentence is Bali.


2. Show a affirmation.

  • 机 (つくえ) の 上 (うえ)に、えんぴつ ありますが、本(ほん)ありません.
  • there is a pencil on the desk, but there is no book.

3. Shows a contrasting contrary to what follows.

  • 私(わたし) どら焼き (どらやき) を 買い (かい)ましたが、ラメン 買いませんでした
  • i bought a dorayaki, but i don't bought a ramen.
