Explanation About Kara-Made (から-まで) in Japanese

Kara indicate starting time or place or activity and made indicate finishing time or place or activity

毎日(まいにち) 7 時(じ) から 9時(じ) まで勉強(べんきょう) するI study from 7 to 9 everyday.

Kara made cannot used together, Kara indicate that activity was began and made is finishing time. But this is indicate that you don’t know when your activity was finished.

7 時(じ) から仕事(しごと) をしますI start work at 7.A.M.

But kara-made be able to indicate starting or finishing time or date. Usually we can add or followed

by –Desu (です)

• 図書館(としょかん) は月曜日(げつようび) から金曜日どようびまでです.
• Library open from Monday to Friday but rest/closed from Saturday to Monday.
• ただし休(やす)みは土曜日と日曜日(にちようび) です
• but(Library) is closed from saturday to monday 

Note :  N1 + と + N2
