How to Using Particle E へ in Japanese

Before we get into the lesson, we better read and understand from the conversation below
  • Idoy               : ダダン-さん, どこへいきますか? (1)
  •                         Dadang-san, doko e ikimasu ka?
  •                          Dadang where are you to go?
  • Dadang            : スーパーへいきます
  •                       SUUPAA e Ikimasu
  •                       I’m  going to the market
  • Idoy               : ダダン-さん夏休み (なつやすみ) はどこへいきましたか?
  •                         Dadang-san, natsuyasumi ha doko e ikimashita ka?
  •                         Dadang, where did you go on summer vacation?
  • Dadang          : えっと, 夏休み (なつやすみ) は公園へいきました
  •                          Etto, Natsuyasumi wa koen he ikimashita
  •                          I did went to park on summer vacation
  • Idoy                : 楽しい(たのしい) ですね
  •                         Tanoshii desune
  •                         so enjoyable
  • Dadang          : あなたはどこへいきましたか
  •                          Anata wa doko e ikimashita ka?
  •                          Where did you go?
  • Idoy                : どこ()もいきませんでした (2)
  •                          Doko ( e ) mo ikimasen deshita
  •                          I didn’t go anywhere




1. (Place + + いく/来る/帰る)
The verb indicate movement to a certain place. We use particle after the name of place  to show direction of the move. Remember it,  particle is read . In example particle ;

2. どこ()もいきません/いきませんでした.
When you want to deny everything  covered by an interrogative, you can attach the particle and put the verb in its negative form. Usually, you may use particle or not use it.
·         どこへ いきません, or
·         どこも いきません
